According to the viral video, people present at the spot appeared to support the woman and were seen handing her a slipper to hit the Home Guard. However, it has not yet been confirmed when the viral video was recorded. Meanwhile, Gujaini and Barra police became embroiled in a jurisdiction dispute over the case.

The one-minute and 26-second video, which surfaced on Saturday, is said to be from the Barra-8 Kargil Petrol Pump area. In the footage, a woman with her face covered by a scarf is seen pulling the uniform of a middle-aged Home Guard. As the Home Guard tries to free himself, the woman is seen kicking him while people standing nearby continue supporting her.
The video further shows the Home Guard twisting the woman's hand during the confrontation. People backing the woman then hand her a slipper to strike him, but the Home Guard snatches it away and throws it aside. The woman subsequently slaps the Home Guard repeatedly before he finally frees himself from her grip and runs away from the scene.
Following the circulation of the video, Barra and Gujaini police were seen engaged in a dispute over jurisdiction. Gujaini Station House Officer Rajan Sharma said that the Kargil underpass falls under the Barra police station limits. However, Barra Inspector Ravindra Srivastava stated that the incident had taken place within the jurisdiction of Gujaini Police Station.
The viral video has drawn attention not only because of the alleged molestation accusation and the public assault on the Home Guard, but also due to the confusion between the two police stations over the jurisdiction of the incident.
